Nahar Senior Citizens' Welfare Association Celebrates 6th Annual Day
Nahar Senior Citizens' Welfare Association was started in the year 2011 with pioneer members and some of them are Mr. Shashikant Rasal, Mr. Sharad Joglekar, Mr. Dinesh Jasani, Mr. Satish Nivsarkar, Dr. Mohan Wani, Mr. Vasant Deshmukh and Mr. Pradeep Haldankar and now it boasts 158 members. Over 40 new members have joined this year.
The association organized its sixth annual function with Musical Event at Nahar International School Auditorium.
Mr. Navinchandra Reddy, DCP was the Chief Guest. Mr. Avinash Dharmadhikari SHO of Sakinaka Police Station accompanied him, The DCP spoke at length about the steps taken by the Police for the safety and security of senior citizens.
Our program was much blessed by the surprise visit of Mr. Sukhraj Nahar, the Chairman of Nahar Group and Ms. Manju Yagnik – Vice Chairperson of Nahar Group, “Kaihete hai na ke program me jan dal dee”. Mr. Sukhraj Nahar respects our senior Citizens like his own parents. Ms Manju Yagnik spoke about the welfare of senior citizens. She also added that Nahar Group is proud to be associated with Nahar Senior Citizens’ Welfare Association.
The complex is built with the vision of happiness for all citizens of Nahar and specially senior citizens who enjoy morning walk on the jogging track and get-together in the lovely gardens. Watching children playing enhances the happiness, quality of life and also the longevity of the senior citizens by 15 years.
Programs organised by the association are tailored to meet the health, wealth management and spiritual needs of the senior citizens.
The association organises Blood donation camp every year with the support of Nahar Medical Center. Every year we conduct many programs for our members and charitable work including blood donation in association with Nahar Medical Center and the blood collection is done the by Blood Bank of Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital, Sion.
Our dream is to reach 300 + members, and register our association to enable us to do more activities for the benefit of our members and also for the community.
