We often hear people say “Dil se nahi, dimag se kam lo”. But this time we thought the exact opposite and decided not to follow any theme and rather naming the programme ‘Dil se Dil tak’ wherein everyone sang songs close to their hearts. The show was a big hit amongst both, the singers and the audience. Nirvana witnessed a house full show where people enjoyed different melodies presented by A group singers!
The show was anchored by the evergreen Ashok Gupta and gorgeous Smita Ghatge with their crispy compering which made the audience smile and giggle in between and enlightening the atmosphere. Ashok sang a soulful bhajan ‘Sukh ke sab sathi’ to begin the show.
As usual all the singers justified their song selections and rendered confidently with ease and poise. On one hand, singers namely Revati Rawool, Lal Nachnani, Laxman Karki, Neeraj Srivastava, Sreekumar, Smita Ghatge, Akshay and Aarav Gupta entertained the audience on the other hand senior singer members enthralled the audience with their impeccable song selection and perfect singing.
Rajitha Khan compelled everyone to notice her ‘hatke’ but confident rendition sung soulfully and totally ‘Dil se’, especially evergreen ‘Dil Toh Hai Dil’. Our Kashmiri beauty Guddi Bali was fabulous in her ‘Nagma e sher ki’ whereas Madhura Vartak created the ‘club atmosphere’ by brilliantly singing a mash-up of two club songs. ‘Mohabbat Buri Bimari & ‘Udi Neende Ankhonse’. Shalka Redkar stole the show with her ‘Radha On the Dance Floor’ with duet partner Jayesh Sawant.
Shivangi Tiwari, the new entrant in the group was comforted by all the existing members and she surprised all by her confident singing ‘Teri galiyan’ in her debut program.
Nirvana’s wonder boy Rohan Said sang ‘Main Jahan Rahun’ to such a precision that everyone was lost in his magical, smooth voice! This boy never stops surprising the audience by taking difficult songs and singing them enviously easily! Very soft spoken and quiet in nature, Rohan only speaks through his renditions. A very hardworking boy in whatever he does….be it his engineering studies, his own solos, duets or the chorus! ‘Perfection’ is what he exhibits! About Nirvana he says “Nirvana has been and will always be a great platform for music lovers. It has helped me a lot to grow as a singer and a performer. It’s like my second home and is very special for me.”
Dr. Shirish Nikumbh sang two Rafi songs with 99.99% purity leaving audience absolutely spell bound! Arti Gadgil with Shalaka Redkar had chosen a difficult and energy demanding mash-up of ‘Pinga and Ghoomar’. What a power packed performance the two girls put up!
Kunal Kaushal was just wonderful in his soulful song ‘Tere liye’ whereas Pankaj Gadgil successfully sang the song ‘Lag gaye 440 volt’, perfectly creating the mischievous mood that the song demanded. Lastly Smita finished it with ‘Duniya mein’ raising the overall tempo of the program very high!
Next Nirvana outing is on 16th June with another theme-less program called ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ For enquiries call: Rajitha Khan 9833743015
