Karishma Chhabria, a resident of Powai, Mumbai, brought home the Crown of 2nd Runners Up - Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide 2017.
She was one of the 52 women from across the globe contesting in the Worldwide beauty pageant. The pageant, now in its 8th year, is founded and organized by Mr. Bharat Bhramarand Ms. Shubhra. The contestants and organizers collectively raised and donated in support of the Rashtriya Blind School in New Delhi. truly making this a Beauty Contest with a Purpose.
After a stringent shortlist process, the schedule kick-started in New Delhi on the 26th July 2017 with a Press Conference where the list of contestants and Judges were unveiled. The jury consisted of Sylvie Rodgers – a leading Hair and Makeup artist, Dr.Varun Katyal –a Celebrity Nutritionist, Blossom Kochar – Founder of Aroma Magic and Saumya Shukla – Tv actor.
From Delhi, all the contestants were flown to Ho Chi Minh City and Vung Tau in Vietnam for vigorous rounds of Grooming Sessions, Portfolio Shoots and other sub-contests. Rashmi Virmani – a legend in the Fashion industry was the Show Director and the mentor for Catwalk, Pallab Bose – a renowned voice over artist was the mentor for the Q&A round, Sylvie Rodgers – was the mentor for Hair and Makeup, and Dr. VarunKatyal trained the contestants on Diet and Nutrition.
The Grand Finale saw a culmination of these events on the 5th of August at the Kingdom of Dreams, Gurugram. The elimination rounds shortlisted contestants from the initial 52 to 25, then 14 and finally the winners were selected from the Top 7.
On winning the crown, Karishma exclaimed “I am very happy that all my hardwork has finally paid off! I feel blessed and honoured to have achieved this prestigious title.”
Karishma’s future plans include continuing as the Director of her Corporate Training Company and being an Image Consultant besides participating in modelling assignments. She also mentioned on her aspiration to work with women and helping them achieve their dreams.
