POWAI DISPLAYS THEIR RICH CULTURE

Gopal Sharma Memorial School displayed their secularism and respect for each and every festival in full splendor and pride by celebrating Onam in the school. All the teachers were dressed in traditional Kerala sarees. The celebration also saw the teachers dancing on a Malayali folk Song.
There was a power point presentation about the rich culture of Kerala, describing the the reason of celebrating Onam, the story of King Bali and the famous Boat race. It also described the royal feast prepared for King Bali on the auspicious day of Onam.
A special feast was organized for the entire staff by all the Malayali teachers. The traditional Lunch was served on banana plantains after the school hours.
In this way Gopal Sharma Memorial School celebrated Onam and displayed their rich culture and heritage.
